Some Do

 Some Do, the first in my series of beach paintings, was based on a couple of favorite gesture drawings that I kept for just this type of piece.  Creating the preparatory sketches brought back fond memories of hanging out with a good friend.  I imagined us sunbathing on a Cape Cod dune on a bright summer day with sail boats bobbing lazily in the distance.  The resulting painting on Mylar also rekindled my interest of working on different substrates besides paper and canvas.
